10-word poems

Peace,
my goal and my desire.
Will it ever come?

*

Absence of conflict
presence of accord
for the whole world.

*

Winter blues
obliterate summer bronze –
pale people are in fashion

Viv, I don’t know if peace will ever come. I fear it may not, but I continue to hope. I don’t know how we can ever have absence of conflict in this world. I look at past history and can’t imagine today is all that different. Sigh.

  19. Right now peace seems like such a hopeless goal. When I lived in France there was a song: “Plus jamais, jamais la guerre!” It sure hasn’t been that way in our lifetimes, has it? Love the last one, too.
