Pindaric Ode

O  candidate prime
food for the Gods,
ambrosial addiction
smooth and sweet
tempered, shaped or melted ─
flawless fantasy.

Yesterday’s prompt here was to write an ode to something that feels like an indulgence : a specific food, a nap, raucous sex, travel, etc or to write an ode to indulgence itself.
The photo is of my seriously sinful chocolate cake.

  2. Looks and sounds delicious. Strong coffee rich with cream, no sugar please. And yes, I’ll take a small piece. I read your recipe for sinful chocolate cake, and bookmarked it. Thank you!

Chocolate cake, my favourite. Nice, Viv. I didn’t see you over at Elizabeth’s, so I wasn’t sure, if you were still continuing. Glad to see you are.

If, as I suspect, it’s a cake I can eat, I’ll happily share your indulgence with this one!
