The last day of my personal haiku challenge is where I acknowledge the support of my friends, including my friend from le Moulin who is shortly to arrive bearing lunch, with this group of senryu.
Most crucial aspect
of life for me is friendship ─
real or virtual
Friendship takes effort ─
always around when needed,
response immediate
Ungrudging friendship
is what makes our lives worthwhile ─
recipe for joy.
I feel like I’ve been a bad friend lately, with no blogging and no Skype 😦

You’re a busy girl, and you couldn’t be a bad friend if you tried! I keep meaning to ring you, and the time runs away with me.

Okay; so it’s YOUR fault! 😉

where would we be without our friends? I often ponder that.

What lovely thoughts here. Hannah Gosselin said it best. Friends are more valuable than gold or food to me. They will help you get either or both. 🙂 You have sent me to the dictionary again and I’ve learned something new today. Thank you. The difference between senryu and haiku. Since I know nothing of poetry, it has been quite a lesson.

There is a whole minefield of lovely words defining Japanese poetry – as poetic as the poems themselves!
