I love the camels very much. I really like the man and all the textural details the thread give to the skin of his face.

The camels and some of the portraits are my favourites. He is struggling with a portrait of Crowing Crone Joss at present and it is not going well.

Oh my gosh! Incredible. I used to do tapestry work for our house and friends (and loved it), but now here in this heat and bad eyes, this love has been put away. Sadly. But what wonderful work you show us here.Thank you so very much.

Jock went through a bit of an obsession with camels when he started doing these embroideries, mainly, he says, because they look so damned superior. You’ve got it spot on.

I must have made at least a hundred quilts, and each one bore my blood on it somewhere! Jock doesn’t seem to prick himself at all. Touch wood.
