Have a happy weekend, blogging friends

Are you fed up with politicians, posturing, spouting rubbish?    BREXIT & TRUMP
(sounds like a firm of dodgy lawyers) dominate the news on TV (I change channels) and Facebook is filled with hate messages and slanted lies (I ignore them).  We shall all be glad when it’s over, but then we have to live with the results.

A Whinging Tanka

Vacuous and vain
they vie for your attention
with bombast and lies
seeking your approbation —
your votes will give them power.

    This is the most miserable election cycle I have experienced in my lifetime. The good news–I’m 72. Not that far off from not having to worry about it anymore. And I’m part of the problem. I listen to the craziness. It’s like World Wide Wrestling.
