Haiku resolution

In order to stimulate my flagging muse, I have decided to write and post at the very least a haiku, senryu or tanka every day in what’s left of March, in preparation for Napowrimo in April.  Here’s today’s heartfelt senryu:

Dangling threads
adhere to every garment ─
hair shirt for quilter

Small progress today on my latest quilt projec –  umpteen half-square-triangles made by hand over the last comple of days and arranged roughly in position

the bottom row is now stitched, and the 2nd row pinned.  Enough, shout my old bones.

This is going to be lovely Viv. Ditto Kate’s comment except my dust kittens are real kittens who make their own contribution :/

  2. Hi Viv
My triangles are all done on the machine & as I spread them out, they look like they were done by the cat. Hand stitching is hard n the eye & comes undone every time it is moved. I love working with colors! How do you keep that neat, professional look to your handwork? I have been doing this off & on for years & it still resembles something from a sewing class.

I LOVE your choice of colours, it’s going to be gorgeous. Personally, my multicoloured threads and snippets form a fluffy rug combined with all the dust kittens on my polished floorboards. It can be quite attractive..!
