Here is Jock’s latest embroidery, just finished. Mister Fox is enchanting, and I think it’s one of my clever husband’s best. These embroideries are known as peinture avec l’aiguille (painting with the needle) in France, and Jock’s are done using long and short stitch.

Yes if I have my way! We were talking about that a few miutes ago and Jock was reluctant to spend the 100 or so euros.

Brilliant – I wonder how many people would be able to guess the medium? I can imagine them speculating on oils and pastels, but the only ones in stitches would be those hearing the wrong answers!

I know the photo doesn’t do the work justice. An incredible work of art. I could not even manage that with a machine. Very talented man.
