Jock's foxy

Here is Jock’s latest embroidery, just finished.  Mister Fox is enchanting, and I think it’s one of my clever husband’s best.   These embroideries are known as peinture avec l’aiguille (painting with the needle) in France, and Jock’s are done using long and short stitch.

This is lovely and has probably become my favourite Jock embroidery. It was great to see it being worked on over New Year. Love Sally

That really is lovely, Viv. He looks very stroke-able 🙂 Is he going to be framed?

Brilliant – I wonder how many people would be able to guess the medium? I can imagine them speculating on oils and pastels, but the only ones in stitches would be those hearing the wrong answers!

  5. I know the photo doesn’t do the work justice. An incredible work of art. I could not even manage that with a machine. Very talented man.

How clever! He’s done a particularly good job with the facial expression hasn’t he?
