Miz Quickly wants us to write a joyful poem. I am unable to improve on Psalm 100, but am obliged to try.
Wake to the sunrise
celebrate colour and calm ─
begin each day well

This is the only time of year I can manage (occasionally) to wake to the sunrise – usually worth it, since red sky in the morning means shepherd’s warning and we’ve had plenty of rain! Love your photo and poem, too. Amen!

to begin, to end a day in celebration makes the heart glad and the bones less weary methinks.
