Wordle 232, The Explorer

The intrepid explorer left in icy cold
cold enough to make him gasp
cold to the core of his being.
cold to freeze the blood
cold enough til frostbite
iced the loss of toes.

Days would pass in limbo—
the snare of inactivity
fought by slapping lifeless limbs.
Remembering the pause of childhood,
he prayed in fever for angels to save him.
Alas the dial of fortune passed him by
to crumble to dust. He explored no more.

This week’s wordle words are:

gasps,    dial,    left    , angels  slap, snare,
dust,    remember,    loss,     pause     days,     cold

Ah, the explorer in all of us. Thank goodness some of us actually find what we are searching for. I’m afraid far too many don’t even seek, or lose themselves in the frostbite of day to day living.

I like the play between cold and heat..i suppose in the extreme..both make us brittle and on the brink of snapping perhaps…a fine exploration and happy new year to you!
