Wordle 231

To write a wordle
I’ll try to tell you
how to join a dozen
unconnected words
into sensible prose or poetry.

Write the words
on slips of paper.
Next, shuffle them like cards
and deal them into a line.

Then think ─
but, er, it may take years ─
try to find a sentence
that makes sense.

This is the best
that I could construe:

Sleep safely
protected
from night chill,

  1. I like to pair unrelated words; some of my best poems have come from wordles where I did that.

nice one – that’s usually what I do, but this one flustered me. I see you had trouble fitting ‘butter’ in as well…it ended up taking me in a new direction, though, so it’s all good!
