The greatest gift is for giving ─
ourselves, our time to help
creatively making or baking
something to give –
food, music, knowledge, art,
pleasure, a laugh
or simply just forgiving.

Oh this is beautiful! I would enjoy giving and receiving any of these gifts.

As you say; not all words are gift. Some that are not spoken can be worse than those said.
Had fun with my grands last week as I let them help me make blueberry muffins. Little Miss put the liners in, both helped to dump and mix and fill. And they got to take some home too 🙂

Giving and forgiving are better than taking and mistaking.

Our biggest gift this year will be a donation; a helping hand for Australian farmers doing it tough as a result of six years of drought. I’m not giving any gifts that need wrapping this year except the Dowager’s sewing box, and I think she’ll have to do without wrapping paper for that, since she knows what it is and I refuse to spend money on paper that goes straight into the recycling.
