Sublime creator,
house builder embroiderer
cabinet-maker dental husband
crafts hard brown wood, harder grey stone,
brightly coloured silks,
tamed, sandpapered,
placed one above two,
pointed, polished, cosseted, smoothed.
Hardly fast, but well thought out,
impetuosity checked and cogitated
so each fine detail perfectly produced
would add to a harmonious whole,
and after much thought
giving it a name.
Good and generous Miz Quickly gives us great prompts every day. Today’s was
a collection of words from which to choose three to use in multiple lines of poetry. Ever disobedient, I used all but one of them, once each. I did have fun.
“choose 3. Write lots of lines using each then have fun: building produce house check name hard brown stone early paper fast fine well wood/would”
I am so happy that I am not the only ‘rebel’ –
Sometimes I get carried away when I see wordle lists.
Just this morning I combined two different word lists plus an additional word and two more photo prompts to make a fantasy fiction piece.
You might enjoy the wordle of new and made up words (from MLMM)
(only go if you choose -)

Obedience is overrated. Especially in poetry. I love the lines “and after much thought, giving it a name.”

Love this one, Viv, it conjures up very vivid images and almost imaginable textural sensations.
