So here’s my gentle start to the month, an amble around the village kicking up fallen leaves on one our local tracks.

I have no doubt you’re poemed out!
Amazing they way that lane has a kind of vortex effect. It would make me a bit nervous, in fact, of being sucked into something I didn’t want to be sucked into.

It gets a bit overgrown with brambles, but I occasionally take a pair of secateurs down there.

Brambles can certainly spoil rambles. Sometimes I wonder if their existence is worth it, berries notwithstanding.

Of course they’re worth it: think of the habitats and sustenance they provide with their ecosystem.
