Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream. (Gibran) and each day, thank God is different. A variety of cereals for breakfast, diverse weather, events, people encountered; aches and pains in new places; mood unique, behaviour ditto. This amphigory takes us nowhere except around in circles.
Stating the obvious
I parody philosophy
in meaningless words
Amphigory: a nonsensical piece of writing, especially one intended as a parody
The prompt for Octpowrimo 6 is Life Changes, and at dVerse for Haibun Monday we were given two quotes and a self-portrait of
artist/poet Kalil Gibran as inspiration
Not meaningless, I think, all those little details that make up our lives. 🙂

Sometimes the smallest differences make the tone for a whole day! Great poem and perspective, I think. 🙂

Ha, but not meaningless at all, really. 🙂

Still it takes some brilliant steps to come up with one here!

I love how the “introduction” is actually part of the poem :)!

That is the haibun format: a short piece of prose plus a three line poem.

Wow!!!! this is wonderful and had me smiling at our ridiculousness sometimes. And yes, we do often not see that spiral.

Sometimes there is meaning in meaningless words. It’s one of those Zen things, I think!
