Strictly’s back – that’s me cheered up
What with Strictly Come Dancing, Gareth Malone, Downton and Bake Off, my TV cup is full.
It’s slow going, but my scrappy quilt is almost completely tacked together. Tomorrow I shall start hand quilting., A simple grid pattern is all that’s needed, as the scrap-happy top is too busy to contemplate adding to the confusion, It is rather big, and will keep me warm throughout the winter while watching all this excess of television!
Sorry about the fuzzy picture – I think maybe the lens of my camera needs a clean or something!
you scrappy quilt looks lovely. A warm quilt, a toasty fire, all make for comfy winter tv viewing!

I don’t enjoy the celebrity Strictlies.
Well, from the appearance of that there is no risk that your tacky results will be scrapped!

We do all have our favorite shows to watch each season and love to see them come back. You put me to shame dear lady for you have finished that so beautifully in such a short space of time. I love the nice long table to work on. How do you tack your layers together? Just curious. Kate’s comment had me look a second time and I noticed the chair covers. Stunning! I love everything in the photo. I think this is more than 6 words. 😦

It’s taken about 6 times the time it took to make a quilt when I was fit. And I haven’t even started the hand quilting.

I do understand that one. Everything takes longer since the Bells took my vision and balance. Add age to that and I think we are lucky to still be plugging along. 🙂

Sadly I can’t share your TV choices, but I can cheer you on with loud hurrahs for your quilting progress! Look after your hands, and don’t overdo it. Are those chair backs Jock’s handiwork?

Yes, three tapestries for each of the 8 chairs. He also made the chairs and table!

That too, but inspired, first and foremost.

I’ve never watched Gareth but I’m with you on the others. However, I’d have to add Dr. Who to my T.V. cup – my daughters are obsessed and I’ve watched it on and off since I was a kid – so it has to be done.
Love the scrappy quilt by the way – bon courage with the hand quilting.

Sending you a hug- sounds like you need it! 🙂 🙂
Yes- Strictly again. All that makes being back in the rut worthwhile for me too.
