Deny it if you can –
the world is in a mess:
obnoxious cult a threat
to our survival.
Evil men will try
to make our lives a hell,
cause families to flee
the scent of war.
Tolerance is a trick,
empowers malevolence
to wreak its worst,
free the wicked alongside saints.
Goodness scorned, evicted –
subsides into the hinterland.
Vile deeds triumph in cities,
hills and valleys.
Heaven, help us.
Brenda’s Sunday Whirl reinforced my mood which was already sombre.
You can say that again…

Lots of exploding, erupting and disrupting. A good world order is far from being addressed. In fact it is being made worst! No political will to do so! A Pity!

political will, but in the wrong, aggressive direction, malheureusement.

You’ve hit upon one of my peeves, the trap of tolerance. To tolerate you have to believe you own the right of denial. Sigh.

What a sorry state the world is in. You stated so eloquently what many of us are thinking right now.

Yes you capture the sombre mood of the world being in quite a mess… and yet perhaps this is the way that our humanity is tested and we remember that we are all connected on this spinning blue marble and reach out to one another …. Perhaps…

The world is a mess because powerful nations do tend to influence and mess with others. Eventually the worm turns and now look what we have got.

The ongoing news just makes me want to smack heads to knock some sense into the politicians. The tide of refugees is inexorable, and can only be stopped by inhumane methods. Put women in charge, and I suspect things would be very different – I don’t think the original cause would ever have arisen… I do wish common sense would prevail.

If we have a conscience we certainly can’t deny the world is in a mess – it feels at times that divine intervention is the only hope..if we could ‘fix’ things (or better still prevent things) perhaps it wouldn’t be so?
