Chrysanthemums Tanka

Viv's Chrysanthemums painting

Once upon a time
Mum loved chrysanthemums
I painted them for her
She died many years  ago
all I have now is the picture.

Written for Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille on Mindovemisery’s Menagerie.

  2. Vivian this is a very tough tanka. Those strong emotions are touching me deep … and that painting … I am in awe.
