And the Birds Come

When we moved to this house in 2013, there were no birds to be seen – see my poem the Birds Came.  We’re not allowed in our lease to make flower beds, but we do have lots of pots on the patio.  Last Autumn we sowed wild flower seeds in the grass all around the house and round the boundaries, (some might call them weeds)IMG_0646

and are seeing more and more birds here, including a friendly birdblackbirds, sparrows, and chaffinches. A young  goldfinch was here last week.
