my friend the blackbird

O to be a bird
to soar and see it all:
sea and land
mountain, plain and valley
forest, farm and moorland
to judge the world of man
and find it wanting

    Although one must admit the perspective from the air (preferably microlighting or hangliding) hides a lot of sins by reducing man to crawling insignificance, and the blots to mere blemishes.

  2. Oh yes…this makes my heart break. I so wish to see through eyes of bird and I feel bad that they should see us failing. ♥

  4. Very interesting. To judge the world of man and find it wanting says a lot. So does a painful hobble. Hope all is well.
