Bullets bouncing, rowdy, on the path,
splashing down in shining glassy sheets.
Reflections answer, grey, from moving wrinkles,
demonstrate the power of the storm.
Grass responds with vigorous upward growth –
fodder for beast converts to food for man.
written in a oner early yesterday morning, looking out of my bedroom window, and posted at dVerse poets’ pub for Open Link Night.
You have captured the sound and feeling of rain beautifully, Viv. Love the photo!

I’m certain I see my plants smile when it rains. Or maybe I’m imaging it! Every black cloud has a silver lining.

Such a great way to tackle the six words! I must remember this option. 🙂 I like your very sensual photo and poem. It’s all visual, yet somehow you make me hear and smell it too.

Smiles – I love the visual you painted in here. Marvel.

The whole thing is so rich with such luxurious imagery….but I absolutely adore the first two lines….especially the insertion of ‘rowdy’ in the first line. Perfection 🙂

another lovely piece, Viv! Why is it that we complain about rainy days, when without them, we would have nothing?

bullets bouncing, rowdy…wonderful and perfect this description. Must have been a bit of a howl last night. As I read this, I knew this rain and now I will ever watch this kind of rain and rowdy raindrops will be in my mind.

I guess it is impossible to live in Normandy and not experience regular rain. It still is a beautiful spot you live at.

Absolutely. And they say hereabouts that if you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes. That rain turned into a beautiful afternon.

Our Pacific Northwest WA is rain country. If you can see Mt. Rainier, it is going to rain–if he can’t see the mountain, it is already raining. /bullets bouncing, rowdy/ & /reflections answer, grey/ got my attention.

Indeed rain may be miserable when it falls, but we definitely need it for the cycle of life to continue. I like the way you expressed this theme, Viv! Your work is always a welcome read.
