Countdown to Christmas: I’m running late
The cards are written and posted, to Australia and USA at the same time as the local ones. I started early with knitted presents for the grand-daughters and little friends, but became complacent, and now I’m struggling over what to give the adults. I’ve done no Christmas baking and making, as there’ll be no-one here but us two, but my conscience is pricking me.
I think there are other folk panicking over at Cate’s Place: http://www.showmyface.com/
yep- all the packages are off and away….now to bake local giftees!

I am just the opposite. All of the knitting is done. Now on to the baking which will be gifts for the adults around me.

My knitting is also done, and the pessimism of my post prodded me and I made a Christmas cake this afternoon. (Yes, I know it should have been done in October, but this is a different sort of Christmas cake) I also made some marzipan for stuffed dates which are one of my regular gifts to neighbours.

The panic is starting to set in now. This is not usual for me.

I’m on track, Viv. There’s still a week and a half to go 🙂 (but I might have a last minute panic)

I think lots of peope are a bit behind this year. I think for me it is because I kept thinking it was too soon to get started – and now it’s getting a bit late! 😉

🙂 I feel for you, Viv. Seems like the whole world is running later and later. We are. Last year we didn’t get to send cards, we may miss again.
