A good time had by all

We gave a multiple celebration lunch for ten good friends yesterday – 4 birthdays and two farewells-were the focus of a memorable meal yesterday beside the sea.   The restaurant is superbly placed with a huge mirror along the back wall so that wherever you sit you have a magnificent view.    The food was delicious as well as beautiful, so my photos are designed to make your mouths water!   The mood was just right, with stimulating and funny conversations, and when we rose from the table at past 4pm, the sun – which had shone from beginning to end – was beginning to drop towards the sea, a sparkling coverlet.Jonathan's pud 28.11.14 my pud 28.11.14 Maria's pud 28.11.14 Judi's pud 28.11.14 Richard's pud 28.4.14 3 mains 28.11.14 Sylvia, Richard and Jock 28.11.14 Judi, Maria and Rod, 28.11.14

Very fancy food! Hope it tasted as good as it looked. We have feasted on mass catering for rowers today. It was regatta time on the Tyne and, whilst it wasn’t Fraser’s club that were organising the race, boats were being launched from the Tyne United Rowing Club’s steps so their kitchen was put into full service to raise funds for the club. I was serving bacon butties, chilli, pasta bakes, leek and potato soup, a myriad of cakes and numerous teas and coffees. The rowers coming up the Tyne were most impressive. Sally
