Jock’s put up a wood shed
To a gifted bricoleur like Jock, this shed should have been a piece of cake. But it took him best part of 3 days – like any flatpack operation, holes didn’t match up, bits were the wrong way round and other bits were missing. He’s started loading it with wood, to stop the wind blowing it away, but we haven’t yet had the estimate for installing a woodburner in the sitting room. Ah well, it keeps him off the streets and out of mischief, as he always says to me about my quilting and blogging activities!
I would rather be blogging too 🙂

I was wondering why a wood shed. Heh heh. I promise not to tell Jock of this most flattering picture of him. I know you can hear me laughing!

We have an all-electric house, and were worrying about power cuts which are forecast for the winter, so decided to do something about it. The landlord was happy for us to go ahead.

yep- we have a new wood shed too- but being in the mountains it’s a bit bigger as we need to burn more wood through the winter! I too am a quilter in addition to being a blogger…nice occupations by a cozy fire! Cheers!

Or in my case – crochet and cosy under a Viv quilt with a wood burner blazing in the living room. We are having next winters wood store delivered at the moment as it is tree felling time of year. Chopping and stacking will keep up warm this winter. Sally

I would definitely be better at making a cake, even a shed shaped one!

That makes so much sense to have one of those for wood! It is so hard to start wet wood when you need to build a fire! Good job Jock!
Enjoy your weekend!
