Complementary colours
purple and yellow, orange and blue, red and green
contrasts to assault the eye,
with designs, quilts, paintings.
Nature’s tints, more subtle, yet
make harmony from the spectrum –
variants of green and blue, brown and gold
more restful to the eye,
shading from whitest white to blackest black
and everything in between.
Colour sets the mood and the rest is detail.
