OctPoWriMo Day 3: SWEET

Gogyohka –a five line single thought poem for OctPo’s 3rd prompt

Life without chocolate
is not worth the living
and life without salt is worse.
Combine the two in salted caramel
and reach heaven.

    Oh chocolate, the divine!
    With milk or peanuts ..
    dark 70% cocoa,
    Praline and chili pepper,
    White, light, dark, smooth …
Life is just so right with chocolate …
but alas … I’ve never tasted
    salted caramel 😦

See, I’m not really a fan of chocolate. Except recently I SO VERY HAVE BEEN! It’s most unlike me. And salted caramelly chocolate is gorrrrgeous. I like this poem. It makes me think of all the delicious treats which people keep putting on Pintrest (and which I must hide, or I crave them!)

  10. Fun one, Viv. After reading the comments (it’s early morning) I’m off to get my coffee–no caramel.

I beg to differ about the drink. Starbuck’s Salted Caramel Machiatto is ambrosia to me.
