6-word-saturday

Glad to report Jock much better

He’s up and doing, coughing violently, grumbling mightily and bored stiff.  He has another month of antibiotics, but thankfully no more injections. We’ve cancelled our projected holiday in the South, as the journey would be too much for him and he certainly doesn’t want to be ill away from home.

We had travel insurance, and the mechanics of cancellation are horrendous:  I spent about five hours yesterday on the telephone – being told to go online and do it; online on complex sites that kept sending me back to square one; filling in forms sent to me by email; searching for and assembling a wad of paperwork which kept my printer working overtime.  Said wad must then be sent by post, negating the object of doing it online!

Do pop over to Cate’s place to see what other 6-worders have been doing.

I too, am glad that Jock is doing better! That must be a relief for you.
Cancellations are not fun to handle…and I am sorry they gave you such a run-around!

Hope you had a good Saturday!
We had a lovely family gathering, and it was wonderful!

I’m glad to hear the good news.

Insurance companies don’t seem to be very friendly when we make a cancellation…

  3. Good news that Jock is feeling much better, but bad news about the amount of time spent on the insurance.

Shame about the holiday, Viv, but so glad that Jock is on the mend, however slowly. 🙂

Glad Jock is better. As for me, I am better during the weeks when I work, and am exhausted and in pain on the weekends. At least this weekend I can rest without aching.

Glad Jock is improving. The hassle of cancellation is worth it in the long run. Think of the cost otherwise.

  10. That must have been five very long hours, Viv. I’m so sorry to hear you had to cancel the holiday. But the most important part is that Jock slowly is getting better again! Do wish him good luck, much patience and many well wishes.

Sorry for what it is putting you through, Viv. I am glad Jock is recovering. Sorry too, though, that he wouldn’t be up for your travel.

Excellent. Relay my good wishes, even though he has no clue who I am. I reckon it’s not everyone who receives good wishes from a stranger….
