Early Warning

They’ve started the corn harvest here today –
juggernaut tractors and behemoth trailers
trundle noisily past my window in pairs
back and forth, back and forth
full and empty

It will go on for weeks, and heaven help us when it rains.  The up side is that we will have our fabulous view back when they get to the field opposite the house.
