A happy week of family visits
We have seen most of my sister’s family this week – by coincidence my oldest nephew booked our friend’s gite a couple of kilometres away and my younger niece is staying a little further South with two of her three boys. Her daughter, meanwhile, had just given birth to a 11lb baby boy, so could be forgiven for not coming with them.
In various permutations, lots of family meals and outings have given us enormous pleasure, culminating in a trip to Pirou chateau-fort followed by a wonderful meal at the nearby Restaurant de la Mer, looking out over the beach, the oyster beds and other delights.
I have eaten far too much this week, and it’s not over yet! We shall be 8 for a farewell lunch tomorrow in Les Gars-melles, the bistrot in our village, so I won’t have far to stagger home. We shall miss them when the last lot leave our shores tomorrow night.

Very jealous – I was hard at work all weekend and the bank holiday Monday and you have been swanning off to my favourite castle of all times and eating lots of delicious French food. Congratulations to Vicki – that is some sized baby I hope mother and baby are doing well. Sally

She had a C Section but only after hours and hours. We had a lovely week, though now I am cream crackered. It was hard to believe William is six already, and a dead ringer for Matt and Tom.
