Homecoming Haynaku
Relief
Shoes off
Cup of tea

Home
That’s a nice little house,
shall we buy it?
says Jock every time
as we round the bend
and spy it.
Abrah at dVerse wants a homecoming poem. I wrote a long spiel last night about coming home to France after two years in Seychelles, but wasn’t pleased with it, so left it unposted for another look in the light of day. I hit the delete button the moment I read it again this morning!
Hence these two little ones written in minutes!
There is nothing like home. I had to move to France to find it! 🙂 Léa

Would be interested in reading your return-rant one day. Grew up in Seattle, then lived in CA for A decade; returning to my “hometown”, I found only ghosts, empty lots, & jacked up property values. It is so crowded, so dense, so dark, I can hardly bear even visiting there these days.

I really did delete it. It was so badly written. I tried to simplify what was a very complex situation and it didn’t work. I’m sorry your homecoming was so disappointing.

What a great feeling. You could also post these at PU’s Midweek Motif ~ Happiness.

I love that Jock. When i take John’s mother shopping we always drive in her car, so mine is left in her drive. And every time EVERY TIME we come around the corner on our way home she says. “Oh Look I’ve got company!” And then laughs like it is the first time she ever said it! ..c
