Woken by the sound of water
falling straight from sky to eye,
I sigh.
Parts of me want to burrow
under duvet
there to lie.
No –
life is out there, wet or not.
So
the only way is
to go
along the lane
around the bend,
climb the hill
to the east
towards the limit
of the known world
to see
what I can see.
Do go and see what others have done with these weird words, here
I love this line: falling straight from sky to eye,

Viv, great job of using the words and you deliver such a good message. I know that burrowing under feeling!

Great writing! To go to the limits of the known world to see what I can see is an appealing thought. I might leave any moment now!

that was a challenging wordle! Isn’t it lovely when art meets life this way. It is raining here, again, today. What a wet July and August we have had in central and west France. We are heading up your way this coming week for a final time before flying home to Canada. See you soon.

Hope to see you very soon. Oops – a great clap of thunder made me jump. We’re going to Coudeville for lunch and it is chucking it down.

Yes..it does have the flow of a shanty or song…a sailor went to sea to see to see what he could see see see..nothing like rain to clear the eyes and get the day sailing along! although duvet days also good

Thank you. – the thought reminds me of the song about Elsie in Cabaret:
What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play.
Life is a Cabaret, old chum,
Come to the Cabaret

I see it was raining in your parts too … this has been such a wet summer … and I agree, makes you want to hide under the duvet.

We’ve mostly had a splendid summer and the land is grateful for a soaking. .I’ve come out from under the duvet now!

Glad to hear it .. we’ve had mostly a wet cold summer … perhaps the mountains make a difference. I’m out from under the duvet … but then, it’s not raining right now 🙂
