Momentous news:  the prisoner has escaped

My infernal internal gadget has stabilised my heart to the extent that our GP says I can start to drive again.  The last of the big explorers, I drove about 10 km to visit a friend to take back their plates (they have been our most kind and constant providers of meals on wheels).  Then, I daringly drove another few km to a small supermarket for a few groceries.   For the first five minutes or so my confidence felt shaky, as this was the first time behind the wheel in eight months; but there is very little traffic here, and driving in the warm Spring sunshine  soon became a pleasurable outing.  Where next, I wonder.

:). Wonderful, Viv!! Like having your freedom again.
Mrs Jim had hers March 1 after cooling it for two months. She had bunion surgery and second toe reduction (shortening) on January 2. Right foot, don’t drive.

  6. What wonderful news! Bureaucratic sanction to resume your independence must equate to a ‘get out of gaol free’ card. Now fly again Viv into this beautiful spring time. So glad for you 🙂

Wonderful news! Enjoy your new freedom and are there any flowers in bloom near you, or a park with a fountain! These are the little things I can’t wait to see….oh dear winter you must go away!

    • Loads of flowers – I live amid beautiful rural scenery. Just back from the village, where I drooled over the several magnificent magnolia trees I passed. It has been a mild winter, and the geraniums – left outside in pots – are flowering already.
