6-word-Saturday

Gifts made and wrapped, cake iced.

The embroidered tie was made for my birthday by my friend Carolyn, at a very busy time for her, when she was packing to move to UK after 6 years living in France.

What a surprise – my daughter embroidered exactly the same tie for my mother, and we use it every year. A very special family heirloom. Your cake looks beautiful.

Hey, nobody’s wearing a tie there! Or do you mean the belt on the cake? Surely you can’t eat embroidery?

    • Sadly, I am no longer capable of coping with such numbers – gone are the days of working full time, up to and including Christmas Eve, coping with children and horses and still managing to cook a huge Christmas lunch, and giving a party at home the next day.

I hope you have a lovely day, and enjoy the presence of so many guests.
