Threnody- Wordle 138

 

A simple box lies in the clay
covered with salty tears
which cause the flowers
to wither away.

Her life came apart
when he left her, bereft
of all purpose, all joy –
snatched that terrible day.

Merciless moon,
poured waves of despair,
until time dulled the pain,
with the angels to fix it.
