Scripturient

Embarking on another metanoia
this crone becomes a student once again,
plunging with glee into a forest of long words.
A glossary will keep them tidy
with taxonomy to classify them.
Thank the good Lord for Wikipedia.

Scripturient – (adj) having a consuming passion to write.
Metanoia – the journey of changing one’s mind, heart or way of life.

Yesterday I started a new Open University free Futurelearn course Understanding Ecosystems.   For unknown reasons my son has started putting long words and their definitions on his Facebook page, which sparked today’s little poem, plus reading the course materials !

I just LOVE the mental imagery this line brings and the joy that’s rooted in this adventure!

I see font creeping vertically up the page in the shape of trees…blue background but an orange of a sun creeping up on the horizon in the “tree” line…the roots are words too…fades to darkness…I might just make this!! Thank you for inspiring me, Viv!!
