GRASS

for haiku heights

fodder for the farm
and animals in the wild,
chore for the gardener.

*

brown in summer sun,
burning at the slightest spark,
green in urban park.

This second one relates to Eha’s guest post on Celie’s blog, about the New South Wales fires burning out of control.

You have made me think Viv! Perhaps you will not understand if I say I’ll take the chance the brown grass in the summer sun may end in fear . . . rather than walk in the safe greenery . . .I love the intoxication nature brings . . . thank you . . .and a very late ‘good night’!
