LIFE Wordle 133

wordle 133

The sole inhabitant of the universe
felt an irresistible impulse for creation.
Before he could start, some maths were needed
to calculate distance –
precise limits or infinite capacity?
He – or was it she? – reflected mightily,
kneeling at the drawing board,
until the idea hit him
for a vast amorphous space,
governed by perpetual rhythm,
a wonder-filled place.

Fists clenched around the pencil
he started to draw, getting more excited,
whispering formulae,
inventing gravity,
the invisible control
that a physical entity emits
to hold everything together.
He/she was on the brink
of a mind-blowing design
for what turned out to be LIFE.

  2. “precise limits or infinite capacity” perhaps life is the balance between the two?

I do hope you’ll add your voice to the gratitude quilt this year Viv.

  8. This is funny because I read it AFTER your “back to the drawing board” line in the other poem. And yes, it was all set to be mind-blowing and wonderful, until the Industrial Revolution, among other enterprises… Well done! Amy

I loved the contradictions of needing drawing board, pencil, gravity and maths before creation was possible. He, she or it must be laughing.
