for Haiku Heights, Day 30

Jagged stitches make
higgledy-piggledy quilts.
Straight ones look better

The straight and even stitches have a sounder scientific foundation, too. Far more durable.

  5. Actually, I like “higgledy-piggledy” much more! There’s something about assymetry that attracts me. I know, I’m weird that way… a nd about 256 other ways! (wink)

dear Viv I’m sure you must be right and your hand has held more needles than mine ever will. however I remember the flower garden of a neighbor not far from here. short behind tall, or too close, even overlapped, each different landed as if by a random wind. was it purely chance or just her enthusiasm? any spare space would do. I was no less pleased. so I’m sure you’re right but I’ll also adore random flowers, even random words and the hand behind them all. including yours.
