The Art of Mucha

Curvilinear
erotic
exotic
beauty
sweeps across the page

swirls
whirls
sensual
beauty
curves across the page

elongated
adumbrated
lines of beauty
drawn out on the page

vague suggestion
of obsession
evanescent
image fades.

  11. Phew! I love the single word lines – they seem to encapsulate the energy of Mucha’s work. Add to that the word ‘adumbrated’ – that’s not one you see used often in poetry. The point you make about obsession is noted – perhaps every artist knows the taste of that, in different measure.
