A weird picture over at prompted this little senryu,
which also fits the Fairytale prompt at

Goldilocks wakes,
plunges into nightmare
fairytale terror

    Succinctly and vividly penned!

  2. brenda w says:

Well penned, Viv. What’s a girl to do?

  3. neil reid says:

An interesting twist in only three lines! Clever you.

Yet also I always wonder, how to befriend the nightmare (wildness) in ourselves. And isn’t it even more a wondrous day when the bear decides to befriend us, rather than make of meal for itself.

  4. Irene says:

The nightmare comes at last. “Fairytale terror” is an interesting oxymoron, and don’t we feel that this tale of illicit exploration is in fact a near horrorful story, except, well, it’s a fairytale.

  5. Nice one! And thanks for your fun limerick in this week’s Limerick-Off!

  6. I like this very much. I so want to write a novel with that picture on the cover!

    Neat and funny senryu.
