March5 challenge: competition


Poetry doesn’t pay the bills
and worse,
competitions cost to enter.
That doesn’t stop me trying

Please don't be inhibited from correcting my bloopers and making suggestions: Most of what I post here is instant, ill-considered and off-the-cuff, in serious need of editing.

    You are so right. The first thing I do when I see a comp is not to look at the prompt, but the price. If there’s a fee, I can’t enter.

  6. I here you on that one. I am trying to make money with my poetry, but, not many seem to want to buy poetry books, except other poets,lol. Good poem!

    I see those competitions and think about entering, but I am not brave enough to do so! Kudos to you for expressing the thought so well and for the courage to do so!
