6 word Saturday

I’m waiting for something to happen
Something exciting like winning a  prize
or becoming twenty years younger -
think of the pleasure that  I would derive
if I were once more able to rise
un-creaking, un-groaning ,
skip round the floor in a jive -
that kind of pipe-dream surprise

  2. Those shadows – the difference between agililty of actual joints vs. what one’s heart feels… you and Jock are still jumpin’, jivin’ cats, you know. Or is the Tom and Kitty? (hee hee)
We’re getting there as well but refuse to admit it, even as I fall over during yoga classes and Lex can’t even BEGIN the free weights at our modest neighborhood health club! Amy

  3. Snakypoet (Rosemary Nissen-Wade) says:

    Oh, it’s a delightful thought!

  5. Linda says:

So true…so true! I am like the picture…but dancing in my spirit!

  6. A fantastic image to go with your wonderful poem. I wish that I could make it come true for you.:)

  7. Ron. says:

I’m with you on this one, V. I’m definitely the people in the photo, not their shadow selves. Still, my advaced maturity is giving me some extra traction when the neophytes in the office come seeking advice.

  8. Jim says:

My joie de vivre doesn’t come
my the car is six feet under
    millionaires win lotteries
    have mimosas with their toast

my beans and bread are getting
cold. Wood’s out under the snow
    webcam at the Abbey road
    shows better world over there.

Had coffee now, brushed my teeth (new Six)

So I’m feeling more up n ow. While brushing I was trying to decide if I’d seen your shadows of imagination picture hanging in an art gallery someplace. I tried your credit link to find it has been highjacked and is the same as http://www.whiterockmedco.com/. Bummer.

My initial stab at 6-w-S today was “I don’t have anything to say”! I’m not exactly feeling any joie de vivre, specially when I got up to find the white world and whirling snowflakes outside!

  12. cessie says:

Ooooh what a cool cool photo!! It so pictures your beautiful words. I love your poem. It actually didn’t even need that photo, I got the picture just from reading! Anyway, I love your entry for today!
