six word saturday

still coughing, still mad, still fighting

It’s the 5th day since I stopped taking the blank blank Ramipril but the cough is no better.
The replacement drug has a different side-effect, an interaction with another of my meds.
I translated my complaining poem into French and emailed it to my cardiologist, whose reply was that yes, he was aware of the inconvenience of the side effect but it was necessary to correct my cardiac insufficiency.  And I must continue taking both.  Blah, blah.  He did suggest a consultation to explain and discuss, which may prove a life-line.  He’s on holiday until Monday but be sure I shall pester him.  It’s a pity I like him so much, as I shall find it difficult to be anything but polite and friendly!

The sum total of my creative output this week doesn’t amount to much:  two pairs of wheat-filled handwarmers in response to Pseu’s suggestion.  It takes only 2 minutes in the microwave and stuffing them into your pockets before braving icy weather.

I hope the snowstorm Nemo doesn’t come up to expectations for my North American friends. but a pair of handwarmers could come in handy!  Sorry about the horrible pun.

I imagine you to be a bit of a feisty patient, Viv. Gotta get fit for your trip to England!

  2. Tonya says:

Your health is more important than the Dr.’s feelings so say what you need to say! Hope you are well soon!

  3. McGuffy Ann says:

I certainly hope you are feeling well soon! Your little hand-warmers are adorable! We could sure use them here right now!

  4. Hope you are soon starting to feel much better. I know how often the side-effects of new medications make them seem more like another problem than a cure. There are some I refuse to take for the same reason. I adore your clever handwarmers, what an ingenious idea for small winter gifts or stocking stuffers at Christmas!

  5. Linda says:

Sorry you are still not up to par! I hope the doctor can find something to help you without the side effects. Loved the idea of hand warmers! We call them “wheat-heats!” (:>)
    Stay warm..and take care!
