The Imaginary Garden asks for a Cinquain, and these words which just popped into my head fit the required syllable count to a T
The sun
is setting here
just now. Resplendent red
streaks a gold archipelago -
soon gone.
I wish we could revive the old “I Saw Sunday”. Six Word Saturday comes round too soon for the best part of the weekend! I went for a lovely sunny walk this morning and came back rejoicing at the first primroses, and more than that, buds in a wallflower plant by the end of our drive.

i can see the sunset in your cinquain…resplendent it is:)
Such reflective beauty in your words…I love the plants that are speaking spring when winter remains.
Although the birds are largely absent here, their song remains imprinted on my heart, just as your poetry is imprinted… you write so beautifully, Viv, I truly admire you. Love, Amy
so beautiful Viv… I’m listening to birds sing of spring this morning.
Viv, this is gorgeous!
So vivid and alluring~
I <3 it
Beautiful cinquain! And your photos are lovely, too
Lovely poem, Viv.
You should start your own Sunday meme.
Tilly beat me to it!
Need a title?
What about ‘A Sunday View’?
or Saunter through Sunday? Maybe I will, but I don’t know how to do Mister Linky.
No I don’t know either… but a ping back would work just as well, as they do on the photo competition.
Each person responding to your ‘stimulus’ would post a link in their post to your post, and that then shows up as a ping back, which you would then need to approve.
Sounds more complicated than mister Linky! I’ll think about it.
not at all complicated.
All you’d need to do is check your pending comments and approve them .
I agree…sunset and primroses…lovely..
What a wonderful poem! I am so jealous of your beautiful flowers.
We are very far from seeing the primrose where I live … thank you for the gift of yours.
That is a beautiful description of a sunset. Love the primrose flowers. It will be a while before we anything blooming. I took photos of snowflakes today.
Beautiful
mmmm Thanks for cinquain and pics.
I love primroses!
wow, what a gorgeous post, Viv! your cinquain is a resplendent reflection
Those are always the best poems: the ones that just pop into one’s head.
Yours makes me want to start over.
