An exciting prospect to me, but to an Australian in this season of uncontrollable fires, or to a Londoner witnessing the terrible helicopter crash this morning, this must seem like Armageddon.

what a colour!
Oh, wow! Viv, this is gorgeous. Scary events mentioned…it’s good to think of what others are facing today. ♥
Hi Vivinfrance! so beautiful, your small stone moments and the photos included. i browsed the recent blog entries yesterday, and inspired by the skies i came across, put together a collage – one of your skies is included, too, here’s the link: http://virtual-notes.blogspot.de/2013/01/sky-stone-collage.html

What a fabulous view!
Fantastic sky here this morning as well. Wasn’t so impressed with the -7C temperature when I was trying to get the car going before the sun came up! Sally
Wow, fantastic colours.. wnderful shot Viv.. c
Exquisite.
Beautiful. Here in Vermont we have only multiple shades of gray. I don’t know how many, exactly, but….
Beautiful shot Viv. In terms of Australia I would only say that ‘media beat-up’ comes to mind in terms of how this summer and bushfire season has been treated. Every summer is hot in Australia and every summer has bushfires and these have been on an average scale – minor in that no-one has died – when compared to our records. The media makes mileage out of sensationalising things which, while no doubt traumatic, are not necessarily out of the ordinary. Although clearly the helicopter crash does not come into that category. The misrepresentation by the press probably annoys me more as a former journalist.
Amen to that. I’m pretty sure that much of the media does more harm than good.
