This fuzzy fish is a lion fish, taken at the Aquarium in Granville, Manche, Normandy.
A busy few days has me shirking writing anything new for 6-w-Saturday. I’ve just got home tired from a wonderful chamber music concert in our local chateau, accompanied by one of my sewing friends and a ‘virtual’ friend, Jours de Mots.

I really, really like this!
I am still struggling with this.
I’ve said it numerous times, and will continue to do so…I want to be ViV when I grow up. Your endless talent and energy are quite (in the American way) remarkable!!
*hugs*
I wish!
What a gorgeous photograph!
I’ve been messing around with photos lately,it’s great what you can do with technology these days
glad you are having such a good time x
Thanks for the tutorial. Nice pic, too, fuzzy and all. My 6ws is here: http://mlissabeth.wordpress.com/2012/10/06/six-word-saturday106/
My husband does this too so now he put the nmes of places on the pictures. It is a great way to make your pictures more memorable.
Excellent photo – and very clever to write words on it!
Gosh I do love the results. Happy SWS.
Don’t pet the lionfish. Great photo (and text overlay). You rock, Viv!
Indeed. I’ve swum with them in the wild, but to touch could be to die!
I just love it when information is shared, really great picture by the way.
I like the effect on the photograph!
have a great weekend
Viv, when you write these slice-of-life posts, phrases such as, “our local chateau” dazzle me. I don’t know why… perhaps I’ve read too much Gertrude Stein, but I think living in Paris must be the living end!! You and Jock have created a wonderful life… Love, Amy
Amy, I wasn’t name-dropping: our local chateau is a conference centre. – visible from our veranda.
PS I don’t live in Paris! It is very rural here.
That’s nice!
I like this picture
So, how did you add the words?
You open your picture with Paint, re-size until you can see the whole picture at once, click on the big letter A, use the cursor to draw a box round where you want to put your text (the box disappears once you’ve finished), click on “background transparent”, paste in your text and click outside the box. Refinements involve choosing font and size, spacing, and colour. Save the result with a different name, eg Photo name haiku. This is important if you want to edit, as you have to start again from the naked picture.

You can also go to the view tab and zoom out!!! I wanted to put my name on each photo I post like some people do but it’s far too much work!!!
OH, why didn’t I think of that??? You are a doll!
