Words are dangerous,
redundant complication -
actions reveal more.

I read much poetry
where the meaning is unclear,
so I make my own.

  1. Viv, these are both wonderful. I especially loved the first one.

  2. kaykuala says:

That’s the beauty of poetry. It cuts on our creative elements and bring out wonders1 Good thoughts Viv!

  3. These are well played as a duet. Your actions vs. words thoughts are well worth pondering. And poetry is often inspired by reading dreck! When I’m stumped, I cruise around to find bad poetry on purpose – it always sparks something. Nicely done, Viv. Peace, Amy

  4. Susan says:

And making your own is an action–so the two haiku come full circle. Cool!

  5. Absolutely. Poetry (and life, I suppose) IS about making your own meaning—applying words, situations, actions, etc. to your own understanding and framework. Taking wisdom and truth where you can find it and working it into your own brain in a way that makes sense to you.

  6. That second one really made me smile :)
